ROTARY
THE FOUR WAY TEST
of the things we think, say or do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and
BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all
concerned?
THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal
of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular,
to encourage and foster:
FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity
for service;
SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions;
the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations,
and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an
opportunity to serve society.
THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each
Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding,
goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business
and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

WHO
ARE WE ?
The
Rotary Club of Texas City is a group of professional men
and women who live or work in Texas City and the surrounding
communities. Our club meets over lunch every Tuesday at
noon for fellowship and to discuss current local and global
topics as well as various issues relevant to the practice
and promotion of the Rotary ideals in our business and personal
lives.
Our
club is diverse in educational background and experience.
Current membership includes attorneys, bankers, city officials,
educators, physicians and other professionals. Anyone can
become a Rotarian as long as he or she (1) holds, or is
retired from, a professional, proprietary, executive or
managerial position, (2) has the capacity to meet Rotary's
weekly attendance and participation requirements, and (3)
lives or works in the Texas City or the surrounding area.
